Improving Robustness of Buildings

AEES is proud to announce a series of half-day seminars to be held in Sydney, Adelaide, and Melbourne. The  seminars have been postponed from their original November 2014 dates, with revised dates to be advised.

The seminar aims to share the lessons learned from Christchurch with structural engineers in Australia. Presenters include:

  • Dr Paul Somerville, Principal Seismologist for URS Corp (and current AEES President);
  • Professor Des Bull, Technical Director of Holmes Consulting Group in NZ;
  • Dr Helen Goldsworthy, Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne; and
  • Peter McBean, Managing Director of the Wallbridge & Gilbert / Aztec Analysis group (and current AEES Vice-President)
